I got a free Moleskine book a month or two ago. I was dropping off a print job and there were these two nice girls handing out free Urquel Pilsner pint vouchers by this pub, I grabbed one and said "Thank you, ma'am." and went on my way. Then on my way back, I walked by again and they handed me a couple more vouchers and this wrapped up package. It was a moleskine embossed with a tiny Urquel logo on it. Nice little score.
Thanks Al!
I have a nice rotring mechanical pencil I have had for over 10 years... I am afraid of losing it if I bring it around... plus I want something that isn't too obtrusive... I don't want to stab myself in the leg with it... looking for something really compact...

So many times I have sat down on a train and stabbed the shit out of my leg using a staedler.
Some of the best sketch books I have ever seen are Dali's His sketchbooks are way way better than his paintings. Sorta like demos being better than the finished song. Plus Pettibon for me is another major inspirartion, sketch wise.
