I used to draw in my books every night at this bar. People were always asking to look through them, so I print up half-size reproductions and sell them.
Good outhouse entertainment.

For some reason, I can't upload pics at the moment.

I love this thread. My sketchbooks are boring but I have fun in my art history notes:

oh man that sucks. I lost a ton of stuff in a basement flood, several oil paintings, tubes and tubes of posters, several portfolios of drawings and prints... boxes of "collectibles" and photos from high school and stuff....

now that I think about it, that really sucks.

if you ever want to kill many hours of looking at girls and dogs,

Reusch Sketchbooks

lots of personal sketches, but tons of editorial work he was doing for The Boston Phoenix. i can't believe how much time he wastes scanning, posting, and commenting. heh.

Same thing happened to me. Except my photos, two whole huge moving boxes, were on loan to friend of mine who wanted reprints, were lost when her house burned down. I couldn't really bitch, considering she lost everything she owned. Literally almost everything from back when I actually drew a lot, everything from my "airbrush period", the sole remaining copies of dozens of zines I put out... gone. I get sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

I love looking at everyone's sketchbooks. Keep posting stuff.

Hey Al... I carry around a moleskine for sketching as well... handy and quick... the thing I am in search of is a nice, small, mechanical pencil...

And as far as looking back at stuff, I find most of it embarrassing, especially what I was doing before college. It's there to remind me that drawing is a daily workout, not everything that comes out of my head is gold, etc.
