Considering how huge of a nerd you are, I'm surprised you HAVEN'T been to SDCC. You might make a killing with a collected edition of WTF in artist's alley.

i'm not much of a self-promoter. I've got the business acumen of a hermit.

go to con. set stuff up at table. sit down. smile and make eye contact at folks as they walk past. don't be the annoying kind of jags that try to push their slop on you as you walk by. talk to people that stop at your table to check out your work. the work will speak for itself.

pretty easy.

it ain't like you're pitching a movie idea to Joel Silver.

My Bat Calavera piece is in that show. Also part of the show is Jeff Soto, Kathie Olivas, Brandt Peters, Jon Todd to name a few. Should be a nice show.
crap* can't find time and where this "grand Warehouse space near the convention" is ( most commercial warehouse space in downtown has become " unique cozy artists lofts starting in the low 900s " ) ???????

just got back from the "star trek exhibit" opening at the air & space museum. meh. kinda scarey how much they physically want to force you into one of the "photo-op merch" scenarios.

plus not geeky enough on the stuff i dig.
i'm a huge fan of the guys that did the original design of the sets and props on the original series. the budgets were so low they took to dumpster diving desi-lu ( and other studios ) to put things together. alot of vent filters and bizarre crap put to brilliant use. unfortunetely everything on display from the original series was replica ( ....... altho the "bork cube" was cool. tons of random model pieces. i tried to find a few recognizable pieces but........ i'm not that edumacated on all things model ).
