I'm so in with my new iPhone.

For the past couple of months, I've been carrying a pink Razr. My own gun-metal gray Razr died a tragic death the weekend after the iPhone came out. It seemed very convenient timing, and so I went and stood in line for over three hours the following Tuesday, to try and get an iPhone. Lucky for me, I didn't get any where near the door. Lucky because, I found out that my Verizon account was expiring later that week, and I would have had to pay over $200 fee for terminating the account just a few days early!!! In the mean time, my wife found her old pink Razr, and we had that activated on my number, and left my Verizon plan turned on, month-to-month. So I tried to wait in line at the Apple store a couple of weeks later. It was still over 5 hours long. I came back to the Apple store two weeks later, yet again. They said when I called in advance that I could now get a voucher, and then come back at an appointed time. But when I got there, the line for vouchers was 3 hours long!!!

Finally this Sunday we went to the Apple store, and the line was only about 15 or 20 minutes. Good thing, because the old pink Razr was starting to behave like my other Razr did before it up and died. We got both of them at about the same time, so I think they were just reaching the life-span of that product model.

After carrying the pink Razr for a couple of months, secure enough in my masculinity to carry a pink phone, yes (I did look into getting a cover for it, but never bothered), my friends had stopped teasing me and the pink phone was beginning to become my trademark.

But now the pink Razr has been kicked to the curb.

I've made room in my hip-pocket for a shinny new iPhone.

I've edited the 40G that currently fills half my iPod, down to a 1600 song favorites list, and loaded that up on the iPhone.

I've edited the 400+ names in my address book down to a 70 person iPhone contact list.

I'm not sure what else I have left to do.

I don't feel like I'm ready to stop geeking-out, but I think I've completed all my required data-entry tasks.

What other apps do people recommend?

if you download SIMPLIFY you can stream all of your music from your home computer to your phone so you wont have to downsize your music collection at all.
