kind of unrelated, but for all the version 7 itunes people, found out how to make ringtones from library songs NOT purchase from itunes.

nope, same computer.
i have the music set to 'manually update', so i just drag and drop it over like i would on a normal ipod. apparently you can't drag and drop ringtones though.

and thats basically what i was doing to make the ringtones.

There should be a ringtones tab in iTunes under the iphone when it's attached. In there you can select which ringtones in your iTunes library you want to sync with the phone.

if I were an artist I would for sure pick the iphone... basically the larger screen wins the battle

there are external battery pack thingydoos, this one is sort of neat since it has a port on the back too to charge another deivce:

the lack of cut and paste is a huge downer for me, it could make some emails and so forth a LOT easier. but, oh well.

and i still haven't found a good live traffic app. google maps isn't really all that useful since it doesn't show alternate routes.

ALL of pittsburgh is under intermittant construction for the next 2-3 years. i'm not kidding. it's a hot tranny mess.

i get stuck at the part where it says to convert to acc, i don;t have that option, i only have convert to mp3. am i missing something?

edit>preferences>advanced tab.

import using "aac encoder"

right click on file "encode as acc"

actually andy, if you're looking for a good to do list you should check out tadalist.com

you can fire it up as a web app on your iphone or just log in on your desktop, that way you'll be working off the same list rather than a list that is solely on your phone.

how / where does this show up on or sync with an iPhone? i just signed up on their site and am playing around with it, but i don't see where i can add a list to be able to be seen on my phone.
