another stupid tech question by moron me
ok 2 questions
naw that i have a wii.. can those discs be copied? also, i saw in a store a dvd "rental" where the disc only works for 2 days.. how do they do that (and does it copy)

This DVD will self-destruct | Samizdata.net I'm sure you could rip it somehow, but I've never looked into how to do that with DVDs.

just buy a mod chip and solder it into the relay/capacitor loop located adjacent to the R3 parallel circuit
keep your eyes peeled on ebay

Copy Wii Games
I believe you will have to install a modchip to play a copied game. I had a modded Playstation 1 that worked great. I never bought a newer playstation but I heard they got harder and harder to install the modchip as time went on. I also have a wii but I haven't really looked into modding it yet.

01. wii games are simply DVDS, however you need to burn them properly and have a mod chip installed on your wii (availability unknown)
02. disposable rental movies can be ripped within 2 days of opening them.
