Rest in Peace Mr Kelley
the dude was totally nice to me when I met him. also, of all those psych dudes I like his posters the best.
dude kicked a lot of ass.
thanks for the links...did you contribute to some of these, paul?
very nicely done...
Yes I did contribute to those stories, Yoss. It's been a pleasure recounting your Dad's life for the benefit of people everywhere. Truly, it's been amazing seeing the interest in his life--I mean, how many graphic artists will ever reap this serious attention. Hope you caught the obits in the Washington Post and the SF Chronicle today. Tomorrow, likely the NY Times and the LA Times. My best to you and your family.
its been amazing, I am really overjoyed at how much respect he has gotten over the years, he deserves every bit, I know he didn't get much in the way of money...at least the love for his craft will endure and his name will live on...thanks again, I look forward to seeing the ny and la times stories...
He was totally cool to me when i met him. i think it was a a trps show.
great artist and great guy. he will be missed by many.
One of the best---i have spent hours admiring his lettering....doesn't get any better.
R.I.P. to a founding father of modern rock art, and my continued condolences to his family and friends.
Expressobeans has almost 150 of his pieces listed, if anyone wants to check 'em out.

Here are a few of my favorites, the first is in collaboration with the wonderful Stanley Mouse, the second in collaboration with the late, great Rick Griffin, and the last two are epic solo works.
