After reading you guys yammering on about this movie and then seeing the trailer in front of Batman I figured I may as well go and pick up the comic book. I didn't realize it was an Alan Moore joint. I've had V for Vendetta for almost a decade and loved the shit out of it. So I'm looking forward to digging into this when I finish the book I'm currently reading. The guy in the comic shop said he sold nine of these in 2 days.

I read it a little late - about 7 years ago - it influenced a lot of books/movies that came after, so the basic ideas - turning the conventions of superhero's on it's head - was not as fresh. Having said that it is still amazing. On the second read I got a lot out of the larger themes and liked it a lot more. I hope you get a kick out of it!

"From Hell" is still my favorite Moore book - if you like him check it out for sure! Don't dismiss it because of the shitty movie!

Children,... *sigh*,... The Watchmen first appeared as a limited series of 12 issues, & is usually sold in trade paperback as a complete set everywhere.

You may want to brush up on 70's & 80's politics if you're that young,...

Even if this is an overload of CGI junk.. I will pay good money to see it in theatres. The trailer looked amazing.. 300 was worth watching for the same reason imo.

I would love to see it realeased at IMAX in 3D.
