Loco Sticker Process

I can't read any of this right now but I
've been thinking about stickers the past few days. I can type pretty good right now.

Just a few minor thoughts.

I do things when I design that have become second nature. I'll
try my best to put into words

The band is a hardcore band so I went for a bold type that has a street kind of cholo look to it but at the same time not being completely cholo. Sketching is soooooo important. I always seem to stumble across something that changes the direction of what I was thinking and the final design. The bandana was that one thing that happened from me sketching. I see type fonts all day long and they get used and re-used. It's not the way I wanted to go for this sticker logo. In the back of my mind I was thinking about the Misfit logo because it so damn good. I used thick lines around the skull and when I took it into photoshop and made the backround black. I left just a little white so it kept the line thickness of the skull. I also made the edge of the sticker so it's not a sharp clean edge that stayed with the look of the font and the skull. I know these are small details that most people wouldn't even catch but to me there very important to the mood of the sticker.

I changed the way the type goes around the skull and did a red, white and black version. I also did some minor things to the skull and the edge of the sticker

this looks great. only thing is the 'a' in attack. it looks quite different than the other a's and made me read it as a backward 'e'. maybe i'm just dyslexic though.

I see what your saying, It wider than the other "A's"
I'll fix it and see what it looks like

I made some changes to the type spacing and width of the letters

There awesome live and good people. My wife went to school with the bass player. I still have to call Steve and see what he thinks
