When it comes to design in Houston, I'll take this design before any pen and pixel stuff

Back when I worked at a record store we used to get great big posters of all these things, from Death Row, everything Master P related, etc... Wish I still had some.

As a design student, I hated on all of Pen and Pixel's stuff. Eight years later, I came to the realization that Pen and Pixel created their own niche and/or style, for better or for worse, and the mark they've left is indelible. Not a lot of people can say that, f'real. So Pen and Pixel gets a polite nod from me nowadays.
I'll post my faves later.
