man those early lyrics are great cause he was young, he had a fkkked homelife, he was on beer and it was metal up your ass.

They grew up and it always gets bad.

Keep in mind keith richards eventually GOT his satisfaction.

If you like Metallica $200 is definitely worth it. Saw them for the first S&M show in Berkely probably comparable in size to the Wiltern. You'll never see them in a more intimate venue and even though I haven't bought a studio album since Justice, they are great live. Never seen them where they mailed it in or played less than 2 hours. Plus, like someone mentioned, you can make back your cost by reselling the t's and or programs.

That is not always true at all. You get FAMOUS and become the one of the biggest rock stars in the world.... and it always gets bad.

Its all subjective, there's no question they changed, I just happened to dig where they went. I don't think they completely lost their talent because they got big or old, I just think that they got bored of playing "Seek and Destroy" every night for 20 years. If you get to be over 50 years old and you are still full of dark teenage angst 100% of the time with no maturation in your work, you become pretty pathetic...and/or Glenn Danzig. But...who knows, I still digs'em.

For me, it's all about James voice. He is not a good singer. At all. He WAS a great screamer.

Musically they still have some chops.

Never cared for Metallica. Master of Puppets songs are waaaaay too long. They are like the YES of metal.

Master of Puppets was kind of a masterpiece. like, their prime moment. But each of their records since has had a couple of good songs aside from Load. Which was a load.
