i voted as well and will try to get on one of the desktops here and vote as well. I am currently attending The school of visual arts, so i understand your pain.

I'm not really that worried about what's going to happen after I get out. Dreamworks recruits from my school all the time and Calarts, if you check out the faculty, is kind of like buying a huge step up in your career. Mostly I'm more interested in the time I can spend with out the demand of a business. It's a hard life, and I respect you all for pulling it together.
I doubt anyone would give me 33,000 boogers to bump up my own business, btw
Don't go into experimental animation. Go as traditional as you can. Do experimental stuff on your own on the side.
Depends on your career goals, methinks.
CalArts traditional animation program is the "general" way to get into the run-of-the-mill animation jobs in the Hollywood animation industry. However, some amazingly kickass talent has come out of the Experimental Animation program that bucks the system enough so that they stand out AND are able to make a living in animation, even within the very narrow confines of Hollywood animation.
Or, screw the Hollywood mentality totally and either do stuff to put up on Youtube or try to get a gig in Europe, where jobs aren't more plentiful than the US but the range is wider than what the US has to offer.
