I dont know howmany times Ive seen this film, but it was on last night and i *still* think its one of the most beautiful films ever made.
Im a kung fu freak, so alot of that wu shu stuff normally just makes me yawn a bit, but Hero really is something else.
The way different versions of the story are told in different colours is just amazing.


Speaking of the use of bold colours in cinematography, Apocalypse Now is on channel 4 tomorow night.

i saw that in the theaters on way too many painkillers...could not follow the story at all and i thought it sucked. saw it sober recently and was blown away.

From what I recall, Traffic is another film with great colours; each locale has its own signature palette (blue for Government scenes, yellow for Mexico etc.).

this is true...you are the only person I know who doesnt like kung fu films and computer games.
Id say except my mum, but she atleast likes kung fu.
