I have to say the compound mitre saw.

most brilliant shit of the past twenty years has to be the advancement of the now powerful cordless handtools.

You all clearly don't own a reciprocating saw.

Best. Tool. Ever.

if not the best then one of the most fun and destructive. Indispensable for renovations.

I just bought a reciprocating saw for work... I love this thing.

Best part of my job? Being able to bring whatever I want home for my own use.

Have they made a cordless tool that lasts longer than an hour and still has the power of a plug in tool? I'm still waiting.

I really enjoyed cutting a bathtub in half among other demolition applications with my Sawsall. That was a few years ago though. I've not much use for it lately.

yeah my compound mitre saw is also in the top 3 too.

I'm pretty much done with cordless tools, i am almost always working near plugs. I'm sick of having batteries die and waiting for them to recharge or even worse having to buy new ones that are $75 each. The only cordless tool that i think is really worth a damn to me is my drill.
