"MINI" Print Exchange
Since I have been setting up the poster shop, I have been putting a lot of the “mini prints” out for display, and it’s given me the itch to organize another print exchange with you lovely folks!
To refresh your memory… Posted: 03 Nov 2003 14:18** -------------------------------- Leia: “I just finished this print for an exchange with my old printmaking professor. He has 60 artists each do an 8x10 print in any medium, then the artists get a packet of all 60 different prints. I do one every year and come away with some truly amazing work! (hint hint-- maybe we could do a similar thing here on GP? I LOVE to see all of yall's NON poster work)!” Anyway, I want do this more, maybe every few months or so, and since I have a gallery to show them off, I figure it’s the perfect time to start it up again. SO… Here’s what I’m thinking: For this first set, I need 50 artists who would be willing to create a hand-printed (no digital for this one) mini print, paper size= 8x10 inches (or 20.5 x 25.5 cm). Theme of the exchange= FOOD Edition of 55 prints Deadline(!) to have your prints to me = Monday June 16th! (this is very important because I will need a few days to frame everything by Friday June 20th- Salt Lake’s monthly gallery stroll! So. Each artist will send their signed/numbered edition to me, and I will re-package them up so everyone gets a complete set. The remaining 5 prints will be displayed in the gallery and sold to customers.
