Is it a different overhead angle than the one here?
Shouldn't the crossbar line up directly over the goal line? Otherwise, you can't really tell.

that's the angle. i guess i always just accepted that angle as good enough. either it was shown conclusively, or it wasn't.

i just think it's weird they chose that as the proper overhead angle. 'Cause on this save, the puck is not behind the goal line, but it is beyond the crossbar...
I am inclined to give it to the goalie though. I've been able to nab a couple like that, knowing that I probably went beyond the line. But I figure there's bonus points involved for getting a glove on it in the first place.
