Default need austin poster imagery ideas

my better half is in the midst of creating a library for the art institute here in austin. since it specializes in things visual she was thinking of using gigposters on the endcaps of the shelves along with the number marking thingys that tell you what section you're in. kinda making everything more aesthetically appealing, playing off the live music capital of the world thing

so i have a couple of questions regarding all of this.

1) since this is a semi-public area is there any downside to having a bunch of posters that blur the lines between merch, advertising and art? for instance, normally you have to pay for the music being played in a public area. is there any downside to having this sort of stuff up? i know it's a duh question since every record store or bar has these up, but since this is no longer advertising the show does it step on any usage toes that i don't know about? again, i know this is probably a stupid question

2) any suggestions on posters that show elements of the subject matter they teach? graphic design, interior design, web design, audio production, media arts & animation, photography, web design & interactive media, and fashion. for example, i think there's a fiction area and she's thinking of using this one

they should be 'clean', no curse words, no nudity. ideally these should be austin venues as well.

any help is much appreciated and thanks for the book ideas i asked for a week ago. she was able to use a lot of those suggestions.

i'll donate one of Geoff's posters for the endcaps. Just let me know where "basket weaving" falls in the Dewey system.

(but seriously, I'm happy to donate anything I may have, or that may "fall off a truck")

Danger's recent Austin art print has great imagery in it.
Rob has a couple posters with some great old cameras in them.

If Austin Flatstock posters count, there is that one from last year by methane, which is the hotdog eating a hotdog. I think DRDC's? of a woman's figure, and a bunch of ties that advertised a showcase. I think I have both of those, which you could have.
