National Serigraphy show on tour?

I have been approached by the local art league to look into getting a national touring serigraphy show to come through our humble town of Columbia Mo., some time this summer or spring. I thought I would start here to see if anyone would have something like that in the works.
We have started a small silk-screen community here, and it would be nice to have that recognized by bring a national show to town.

I know what the words mean, but I don't understand why it needs to be a touring show.
Just ask an artist (or group of artists) to do a show.

yeah, just set up your own show and hit up some people from here to submit art. i did it last year and it was pretty successful.

We would love to do a show, that way my family could go see it. I grew up in St.Charles and the whole fam is still there - Oh, and my brother's over in Arrow Rock.

I suggested doing our own show, but what she is looking for is to fill a spot in the budget that is reserved for a touring show. Because we recently began having a bit of a silk-screen movement being started by some of my students, it was suggested that this year we make the show that they bring in a serigraphy one.
This may be hard to believe, but until recently serigraphy was not really considered art around here (I know, the mid-west can suck sometimes) and I still have instructors, who want to be taken seriously as artist and teachers, look me square in the face and say that posters are not art.
An outside show that is touring the country stopping here would help undo that dated perception.
