Hip Hop can suck it.

I always dug Latin Hip-Hop, better known as Freestyle music. Big in the 80s in some cities. Combines r&b, latin music, electronica, and dj beats.
Started in the Bronx with hiphop but took the melodic/singing and playing-your-instruments route instead of rapping and scratching only.
