I know alot of rap artists, including the greats like Rakim, have mucho respect for his ability as well.

My assumption for his statement is that Edan is a suburban kid from Maryland who went to the Berklee College of Music and probably never had to pay dues.

I don't know if I agree with that, but that's my only guess as to why he would say that.
