to be fair, you were running a bit of a risk using that design in the first place. because unless your monitor is perfectly calibrated to theirs, that design is risky because of the 'blown out ness'.

overnight prints i didnt have any issue with in the longrun, i got 4000 cards for $130 and it took about 2 weeks. so i call them 'twoweekslaterprints.com'. i was happy with them. maybe like 200 or so were all dented up from something, but no biggie.

gotprint.com ill never use again. trainwreck from the beginning just trying to get them and the cards looked like shit in the end. i ended up demanding a refund.

psprint did a good job. no complaints there.

best service i ever got printing was sign-o-rama, but that was printing a banner. so maybe i should just hand out banners.

aren't there also issues with presses running ganged jobs on single sheets? ie the designs around your design on the sheet could slightly change how yours comes out? I thought I read something bout that but am a forgetful sort I am.

all the jobs are ganged and they even have a disclaimer that unless they send you a hard proof they arent responsible for color. These spots run hundreds of jobs a day, 10s of thousands of prints. There's a reason why they can print postcards for a fraction of a what a full service press can.

I knew it was risky..but I wasn't expecting it to come out useless. It's totally illegible. Oh well, I'm having a local dood do it now and I won't use them again. Color gamut is the underlying issue, like I said the black on the back is like medium grey, therefore the darker more contrast-y areas on the front that make the design readable are washed out as well.

Just needed to cry a fucking river for a sec. I'm cool now.

The best place to go to make custom, quality, most cost-efficient, business cards is www.printsmadeeasy.com. They specialize in designing custom postcards, business cards, stationery, labels, brochures, invitations, envelopes, flyers, greeting cards, letterhead, pens, & labels.
