I figure Koivu would have been suspended, too, if he hadn't been injured. As it is, a 4 game suspension for him would mean nothing.

exciting game in columbus...5-4 wings in a shootout.

is it just me, or does the shootout thing suck? i can't stand it. that game should have ended in a 4-4 tie. instead the jackets lost.

yeah, but the loss of pay would have meant something. i can't condone that slash, but then again, i understand. in the old days, he would have known better, because that slash is EXACTLY what would have happened...or worse.

The slash was viscous. But the elbow to the head is exactly what the league is saying that they are cracking down on. There was clear intent.

Oh well. I guess we'll see what the Canucks can do with a D-core that is 50% rookie.
