I think the NHL might have a problem with that.
Unless it's a parody. Hmmm...

I'm not a fair weather fan at all, quite frankly they're lucky I watch at all after they decimated the game I grew up watching...I know alot of hockey fans just like me.
Not a huge fan of the "improved" game...still not sold on it... |

I use to listen to Wings Play by Play from Detroit while living in Boston. Now I can't even find it them on TV.

The new game is awesome. The only thing that could sour me on the game is if they make the nets bigger. They had better not ever do that.
You guys are cry babies. You should stick to watching football with the rest of the meatheads.

The new game is awesome if you don't care for defense, GOD forbid you try and hinder someones progress on the way to the net. They SHOULD make the nets bigger since the goalies can dress themselves up like light armoured vehicles, bah....garbage

HAHA, you're funny Mike...before the strike and the rule changes you couldn't have found a bigger hockey fan on the earth than me. I LOVED the game, attended games, played, etc...Sorry, I don't take to shitty attitudes and sweeping rule changes to "improve" a game that had nothing wrong with it to begin with. During the strike I learned to appreciate football, a far superior league to the NHL, without a dipshit for a commisioner. Bettman tried UNSUCCESSFULLY to turn hockey into something it's not. It's a regional sport, always was, always will be....it's not the NBA...hockey cheerleaders / "Ice Girls"??!!? Are you shitting me? Very "manly" indeed. I still enjoy the game on it's base level, when it's played like it should be it's still fun to watch. I prefer the game I grew up watching to this laser show horseshit. |

Now you are just being silly. The game was NEVER worse than it was the 10 years leading up to the lock out. The obstruction was HORRIBLE and talk about huge goalie gear? It was ridiculous.
The game is now regaining the speed and skill it had when we watched it as kids. Scoring is up from pre-lockout seasons. Goalie gear was radically reduced in size. It's not just a regional sport. It hasn't been in our lifetimes. The Kings have done very well for the last 40 years in southrern California , thank you very much. The Ducks also do well. The Sharks, The Stars, etc, etc... you just couldn't be more wrong in that thinking. Even the most boring hockey game is better than the most exciting game in any other league.

Of course scoring is up, you're not allowed to touch the puck carrier. Yes the Kings have always done well, the Sharks and Ducks have done well, only recently due to thier success on the ice how 'bout Nashville, Atlanta, Phoenix, Tampa, the Panthers, Columbus...? Would you call those "thriving" franchises? If you would then you and I have a different idea of thriving...people in those areas don't give a shit about hockey, of course if a team starts doing well you get people jumping on the bandwagons (See Sharks, Ducks) When those teams are doing shitty, we'll see where the "hockey fans" are. Montreal, Toronto...those teams could be in last place for 5 years straight and they'd still play to packed houses.
You're last statement is a typical "yahoo" statement...now YOU'RE just being silly... I've seen some fuckin BORING ass hockey games in my day and I'd rather watch house flys fuck. |
