Astounding goaltending for the Ducks. Great game overall in spite of all the penalties. That was th first game I have watched this season.

Hasek should retire. When he was young his style was impenetrable. At his age he just doesn't the same ability to recover from his insane sprawls. It's kind of sad. 10 years ago he was practically unbeatable. Almost invincible.

i agree. i was quite disappointed that he didn't. some guys can't admit that it's time. patrick roy, whom i despised, knew when to quit even though his career ended on a sour note.

it was an entertaining hockey game. i hope it's as competitive thursday against the sharks. i want to have fun. i'm in the front row.

Never speak ill of Patrick Roy. No matter whether you hate him or not it CAN NOT be denied that he is the greatest goalie who ever played the game. Not debatable.

One thing I never understood about the praise of Roy was his "apparently" great puck handling skills... I never saw that. But yes, great great great goaltender.

ha ha. i had to say something cuz the sharks look pretty bad ass again this year, plus i bet they're still pretty rashed about the way last season ended for them.

i never had such a good seat before, so i just hope to see an exciting game. if the wings play well, that's a bonus. i just want to see good hockey. usually scalpers have already bought these tickets up and put them on eBay for major $$$ and i don't go for it unless it's the playoffs then usually not even then.

for the record, i have been a sharks fan since day one. i was at their first home game, was a season ticket holder while they were at the cow palace. if they were to win the stanley cup, i would likely celebrate with the rest of you humps. anaheim is another story. fuck anaheim.

i know roy was likely the best ever. he crushed my hopes more than once. i hated patrick roy because he was such an arrogant asshole. if he had been a red wing, i would have liked him more for it.

Agreed on Hasek retiring. He can't steal games like he used to. Just can't.

You guys are lucky. Where I am, the only teams I get to watch are the Predators and Blue Jackets, the dullest team I've ever seen. I've tried to root for them and Nashville, just because they're all I've got, but they're both completely uninspiring.

I WISH I could watch the Sharks. I used to go see Nabokov and Cheechoo back in their AHL days, and I'd love to see them now that they're all grown up. (Nabokov switched from Evgeni to John when he came to the States, but switched back to Evgeni when the Sharks called him up.)
