vernon wasn't spectacular. i actually thought lidstrom or federov deserved the conn smythe in 1997.

Funny that you blame him when all you Detroit guys ever do is cry about shitty goaltending. Maybe it's Detroit? because you guys have had some good name guys there that don't play well. A lot like Philly Boston and Toronto actually.

Yeah, Cujo was not that good in Detroit...especially for the 8 mil/year he was making. He was around 35 in Detroit, far from his prime.

My problem with the Wings is that most of the time they take good or great goalies at the end of their career instead of investing in a good young goaltender. Now they may have that now with Howard, but time will tell. They have some of the best scouts in the league and have spotted talent at W,C, and D that nobody else has. Unfortunately that has not rang true with the goalies.

hey, we calls 'em like we sees 'em. if you can't stop a puck when it counts YOU SUCK. i don't give a damn what you did before or what you used to be able to do. it has nothing to do with detroit. if you can't stand the heat, stay outta the motor city.

cujo played so horribly that i was going to try to get him to autograph a sieve for me. no joke.
