Luongo won't be happy after that start.
Did like the offensive spark the 'kids' gave them. Too bad the forwards can't hit open nets when they are offered. tonight we see how Keenan handles it in cowtown on national TV. go ahead Mike, bench Iginla.

Bruins started Thomas in net tonight, I guess Fernandez got a 1 game tryout...leading 2 - 1 going into the 3rd.

the wings are too. they have 2 shootout games already. they got one more point than they deserved tonight. rafalski is looking pretty good though.

The Cagliari (blue) flames got beat by Bobby lou and the boys. Went from sucky to great in the last 2 periods and the overtime was killer. Kippy was good, just couldn't get that last second one.
and the Leafs and Montreal game looked good too - lots of OT early - does this mean everyone is evenly matched or nobody can hold a lead, or what? We don't need no wider nets. It's hockey season. Canucks won. All is good.

Jason Smith got a standing ovation last night before the Oil/Flyers game last night. Pretty classy.
I know it's only been two games, but man, this new Oiler team is impressing the hell out of me. They are fast as hell and have a lot of super talented offensive players. When the team really starts to gel I have no doubt they are going to be contending Vancouver for division leader at the end of the season.

I missed that Wings/Chicago game dammit. I always go to the UC when the wings are in town, but couldn't last night, and thanks to penny pinchin' Mr Wirtz I can't see ANY home Blackhawks game on TV. Heard Franzen blew a knee or something.
Goin back to the goalie talk, Howard is supposed to be the future for the Wings nets. Or so I've heard. Evidently he's still "developing".
