I was at that game. Awesome moment.

And 10 years ago Hasek was about the best goalie alive. And at that point as dominant as any goalie who ever played. But, that was 10 years ago.

And Osgood has had the benefit of being on extremely good teams. Not unlike Grant Fuhr who is about the most over rated goalie of all time.

goaltending was so different back in the brown pad era it's hard to make that kind of claim. I think Hrudey was worse/more over rated than Fuhr.. I fucking hated that guy... yet oddly love him as a colour commentator..

I almost cried with glee when he pulled himself off team Canada because he was asked to attend try-outs.. har har.. bye bye. Not saying he was a bad goalie.. just saying he's a bad human being, that's all

Patrick Roy is sacred to us goaltenders. He's the best to ever play and probably one of the best "big game" professional athletes in the history of any sport.

Fuhr could barely skate. And he was at his prime at the beginning of the color pad era (just to be a nerd about it) Hrudy was never really rated very high. Brian Hayward on the other hand.... not so good.

it was an amazing moment for the sharks, the most significant in their brief history at the time. it KILLED me. ruined my summer. plus i had to listen to guys who didn't know shit about hockey rub it in. man, i get pissed at osgood all over again just thinking about that shit.

hasek in 2002 was awesome. even if the defense was lacking, and is seldom was, i didn't worry because he was in the net. now it's just the opposite.

i hated roy.

All Wings fans hate Roy. Understood. Can't take away the fact that he was simply an amazing goaltender. Probably the best ever.
