I always laminate any proofs I get from printers and get them signed by a drunk judge in family court.

It's an ILLUSTRATOR file and I print it just fine on my 100 dollar printer at home.
if you aren't aware of the difference between prepress and printing something out on your Epson, then you are probably in trouble.

you made three arguments against this place. #1 was your fault. #2 can't be proven, and #3 sounds like it was probably your fault.

So I emailed them, phoned them - even talked to the manager - and no one would budge. They claimed it was my fault and that I didn't follow the instructions. I pointed out all the instructions to them, and that I had followed them exactly .. and they still would do NOTHING for me.

It was just rediculous. Terrible, terrible customer service. So, now i'm stuck with a gazillion business cards with a crappy red line around them. Idiots.
Yeh having to call those places is not fun. I called that place since their instructions say online "be sure all graphics are saved as CMYK" (then it shows you how to properly convert) then you open the file and it says "Make sure your file is saved as an RGB file, >file>convert>RGB" (or something like that)
So I call and say "one thing says CMYK another says RGB, what do you prefer I wanna make sure it is right?" he says "Well I mean we print in CMYK but if you wanna send RGB we can use that too, whatever you want is fine"
HUH?

I cant believe they wouldnt do anything for you - we ordered some stuff from vistaprints.com and when we got them we werent happy with the quality and I explained that the color along the folded edges of the tri-fold was cracking and chipping and it was unacceptable and they said "OK, do you want a refund or shall we reprint for free?"
They didnt even want us to send it back, they just wanted to make it right, that was really surprising and very appreciated. They were super duper accomodating.

I never have problems with the files I send to printers.

It's because I know what I'm doing.

This tard didn't.

YES - the red line was in the file - BECAUSE the instructions said to remove the text and design inside the red line. It never said anywhere to remove the line.

There were no layers .. it was a tiff template file.

I'm not a designer .. but I did follow their instructions perfectly. I understand where I screwed up - but that doesn't mean squat if their instructions are wrong. I did what it said... and had a perfect arguement. Their customer service sucks.

They didn't send a proof. I think they charge extra for that.
