Oh. Sorry. same one. I'd already sealed up the Netflix package.

I thought it sucked. This isn't even from a goodie-2-shoes "vandalism is bad" perspective. I mainly thought that the people interviewed were just fucking irritating.

There was a cool one I remember hearing on "This American Life" on NPR. It was about how a certain cop had been constantly after a guy who was tagging the subway, and each time he'd write a chapter about his life. It took serveral years to catch him, cause his disguise was dressing up like a subway maintenance guy.

Don't know if this is what you have in mind, but it was a cool story.

That's the infamous Revs. I heard that episode of TAL, too. I was kinda stoked to hear that, actually, as I used to see him and Cost in several graf mags back in the day.
Earsnot was mentioned in that episode, too.

theres a great graf doc that just came out called piece by piece. it's focus is san francisco. not as high budget as infamy, but just as good.
i liked infamy, yes, some of the folk were irritating, but they really covered lots of types of graf (whole pieces, tagging, throw ups, trains) from different parts of the country. well rounded, most likley dud to roger gastman's (founder of while you were sleeping, and swindle with shepard) involvement.
