My buddy Alix and the RD 400 he rebuilt... I covet this motorcycle so much it is ridiculous... I have told him I will kill him for it, no problem... he just bought a magnesium swing arm and magnesium wheels for it as well...
thats called STYLE...you should try it some time.
motorcycles are neat, frank has a zebra seat
Mine has been in storage for more than a year. I'll probably sell it soon.
Had a great ride down to Portland and then to the beaches.
Hilites.....back route out of Seattle, we ended up on the east side of Mt Ranier and then Mt St Helens. These were paved forestry roads, super twisty, in pretty good shape. Take the side road up to the backside of St. Helens - 20 years later it's still devastated, once you are in the blast zone it is spooky.
30-47-202 out of Portland up to Astoria, great twisties all the way to 101, which was jammed with touristas. Came back to Portland on Lewis and Clark trail, and then some backwoods roads back over to 2020/47. I wish we had roads like this up here. Super twisty, lots of elevation changes, kind of like a rollercoaster.
and then after an evening of drinking and stories with burwell and diesel, and dropping in on Ryonet Silk screen supplies in Vancouver Washington, I pegged it all the way home on the freeway.
and then dropped my bike turning into my driveway.
