What do you mean by Vibrations? Compared to my Bonnevile yes... you deffinitely feel the enging between your leggs about 110 times more on the sportster... but it feels right... like it's supposed to be that way. That's what I like about that bike in particular. It's loud, feels right... fun to ride.
On the highway I don't go faster than like 75mph on it but I have had it up to 90mph before it felt wrong/dangerous in regrards to THAT kind of vibration.
That Sportster is a fucking awesome little bike. I need to talk them into some new wheels next.
ive just read a lot about the high vibrations on the sportsters in particular. after 04 they added rubber motor mounts which supposedly helped a lot.
i was at a shop today, had a 96 i was looking at. also an 04 vulcan 800. cant decide which way i wanna go, stripped down sleek bobber sorta style, or a little bulkier cruiser.
for cruising around town im sure it would be fine, but any kind of prolonged highway riding i'll bet would suck.
I'm almost done with the Shartsickle AKA Rolling Blunder... made a small back fender from an old model A spare tire cover, yesterday service the forks and replace the axle bearings etc...the fender and tanks are out for paint/copper leafing, when they get back in 2 weeks or so it will be time for final assembly.....for the 5th and final time I reckon.
holy crap was that a good moto gp race today!
In case you missed it.
