Another friend of mine has a Honda Shadow and she's pretty happy with it. Has had it for about 6 years, reliable, fun to ride etc... My friend with the VStar says the same about his.

Most people here will tell you fuck Harley's but the StreetBob we have at the agency is pretty solid and fun/easy to ride and contrary to popular belief, we've not had any problems with it. I've ridden it to Sturgis and back and to Milwuakee and back and it gets passed around all season so it's constantly being ridden. We take care of it so no problems so far.

My boss got a NighTrain last year and the account lead just got a FatBob. Both also awesome.

I love my Triumph Bonneville although the stock seat kind of sucks. Not a priority but I'll be replacing it.

i've had my vstar for a year now and it's a pretty solid bike.
rode to work and back today...about 50 miles round trip. weathers good now so i'll be riding it pretty much every day.
i dig harleys too but just didn't have the coin to spend on one.
VERY happy with my star.
