But the point is, if he's doing "his thing" for nobody, he's wanking off. It's not a gigposter if it doesn't serve anybody. If he decides to start doing stick figures, that's his perogative but if nobody commissions him or uses his posters because of that--he's not working. He's completely subservient to the client's needs. I'm talking about in terms of creating gigposters. You can't ultimately (that's the catch all here--there are, of course, anomalies once in a while) do your own thing when you have the needs of a client to take care of. If you are only satisfying your needs, against the will of the client, you're jerking it.
That's my take on it anyhow.
Somebody please give me an example of a gigposter that doesn't fit this critieria?
