In Providence check out AS220 at as220.org There a venue, gallery, bar, community art center. They do it all and host this type of thing all the time. It's a stage for unjuried uncencored preformace and the mix is awsome. I Got to see a dude rock out on a tin wistle one night and the fucking champs the next. Great Place. Hope that helps, myself and the print mafia will be having a HUGE gallery show there in september.Look out folks it's going to rock.

We've got to deliver posters to a promoter in Athens next week... I'll print out the description & run it by him while we're there. He also books shows in Atlanta, so he may have a venue good for puppets....

Athens is a tough sell in the summer after all the kids go home for their college break, but there's still shows going on....

i don't think he's the same one........i only spoke to him briefly and he didn't seem that extreme........probably not, i think someone around would have mentioned it to me if he had played with GG........he seemed more like a game show host-type personality than hardcore........

Check with HANDS UP HOUSTON if youre coming through Houston-way. Theyre at:
    http://www.HandsUpHouston.com

Take a look at the great shows theyve put on: the last show they did was FUGAZI. Totally open-minded and free-form set-ups...Youre thing is just the kind of stuff they'd love to have on before/between the bands.

in seattle, you might wanna try graceland
(booking -206-262.0482)i don't know if they've had puppets before, but they're pretty open to anything, specially for openers.
    in portland, check with
    BERBATI'S PAN/(503)248-4579
    THE BLACKBIRD/(503)282-9949
    CRYSTAL BALLROOM/(503)225-5555 ext. 8811
    DANTE'S/(503)226-6630
    MEOW MEOW/(503)230-2111
    ROSELAND/(503)224-2038
    SATYRICON/(503)243-2380
dunno, they could all be bum leads, but its worth a shot.
