I love Ornette Coleman. And Fats Waller. I am not a moran.
However I just don't have the time anymore, to wade through the hours upon hours of honking showoff bullshit to find the moments of brilliance. The reward-to-frustration ratio is just too low for me to be "into" jazz. I tune 95% of it out.
Case in point:
Ornette, Town Hall 1962: sheer brilliance.
