Yowza! Right through the front of the SUV and out the back. I've got to lean towards it being fake, though. I mean, hitting a guardrail, having said guardrail impale your SUV like a shishkabob (through the engine non-the-less) and the vehicle continues traveling that far?

I don't know, I'd say that guardrail accident is real. My friend once saw a highway accident where a guardrail entered the passenger compartment of a 4 door car, whipped around and scrambled three of the four people inside. The fourth guy was untouched but his companions looked like they went through a faulty meat grinder.

those guardrails are specifically designed to break free of the wooden support posts, and to crumple. there have been incidents of the installers adding washers to "improve" on the design, and they've ruined the design of the rail. there was once an incident (though i don't have documentation) of a situation like these photos, but the rail curled around and around in the back seat of the car, and ended up in a big coil.

It was my old partner, I was off that day. He said he saw feet, ribs etc all over the road as they ran to the scene... They had to close down both sides of the freeway because of the body parts flung everywhere, and it took them a long time to figure out it was three people.

My other friend was driving a Bradley Fighting Vehicle and unbeknownst to him he was peeling away the guardrail with his right side, it's impossible to see the right side while driving. He curled up about a hunnert fifty feet of it before somebody noticed!
