Spammers are attempting to be more "sophisticated" in order to circumvent filters on forum sites. The one I just deleted not only had an avatar, but waited over a week between signing up and posting spam. Trying to appear "normal". I've also seen a spam account post something innocuous/forgettable, then go back and edit the comment 24 hours later and switch it to spam.

So remember: YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD HUMAN MODERATORS ARE OUT THERE ON THE FRONT LINES PROTECTING YOU

I saw some if his stuff in a group show in Berlin last year and picked up his "Calligraffiti" book and a few of his on-the-run markers.
