That was the only Powell board I ever had. Their boards felt weird. Good shapes, but they always felt too thin to me. Then there was that brilliant idea they had to put a layer of tar paper in between the wood layers... Nothing like having your board de-laminate after a month. I always had better luck with Santa Cruz or Dogtown... I think Dogtown impregnated their boards with concrete. I had an Eric Dressen street model that felt like a tombstone. I still have my SC Jeff Kendall with Indy 159s and a set of Big Balls.
