Anyone have a suggestion as to the best ways to get prints out of a really stuffed tube? In the past I've just cut the end of the tube and torn it open along its seams, but I don't really want to do that and there has to be a better way.

it's pretty nerve-wrecking...like opening a can of biscuits. anticipating the dreaded pop makes grown men cower in the corner
First, did you open both ends? This always helps.
Sometimes you can like screw them in and actually tighten them up a little more to loosen the outside and then work them out.
just unravel the tube. which would you rather have, a destroyed $.90 tube, or wrecked posters?
I ws gonna suggest that... that happend to me with a Dwitt tubeOriginally Posted by John A
Here's two cents worth...most folks, when shipping, fold the bottom edge of the kraft paper over the top of the prints, so they don't get wet sticky fingers all over the prints. It also makes it easier to keep the prints and the kraft paper in place. This fold can be found looking down the barrel of the tube when you take the caps off. Grab that fold and twist inward, your print should slide right out and you get to save the tube for later.
Man, this sounded like a gigposters orgy.
It's always good to have your tube lubed once in a while.![]()
Yeah, I've opened both ends and tried to roll it a little tighter, but it's a lot of stuff and I think it's about as tight as it can get. I think Wes is right and I should just tear the tube open, but it's a yazzo mills and that seems like it might be a little tough itself without risking messing up the posters.Originally Posted by John A
