I'm listening to a little voice saying: toot up, sneak out, go to the bar, see Gargantua rock the fucking house.

I was just watching/listening to a 1967 Doors performance in Toronto on MuchMoreMusic. I never thought I'd watch MMM so much(Canuck VH1), but I guess I'm gettin' older.

What's all that unreleased stuff? doesn't say it's live.... hmmm..

Seeing the titles Juanita, Sheriff Of Huddersfield, and Black Bart Blues bring back memories. Silly memories, but memories nonetheless.

    they're 3 double-cds.
one is the big BBC live performances they've done,
one is the B-sides, and one is a full show from
the Number of the Beast tour.

    *wow*

plus there's the stylish pewter&glass shot glass...

curtis mayfield - superfly soundtrack. damn, so funky and soulful - mayfield kicked so much ass, and even made an appearance in the movie, singing pusher man. great stuff.

"Pusherman" is the same key and tempo as "Smells Like Teen Spirit". My old band played an ugly instrumental medley at Mister Reusch's first gallery show a-way back in the day....

    Mayfield is awesome.

who know? do you have a recording of it?
and why the hell doesn't mayfield get more credit? when he died, it barely even registered in the papers. the production on his records is amazing.
