love your style Mark...it reminds me of some of the books I had when I was a kid...very fluid and consistent....
Honestly, I think you have a very consistent and solid style that adapts well to many different pieces. Thing is, consistency can some times make an artist feel like they are doing the same thing over and over.
Pedini, maybe you need to adapt your style. Change up your color palet, try a new medium for your renderings. You have skills for sure, but maybe you need to shake things up for the sake of your creative mindset.
The next piece you do should be with something you have never worked with before... or better yet, in your own style, do a piece in a medium you hate. If anything, it will give you a break from this slump and somehting amazing might come from it.

thanks. on that one I was tryng hard for him not to look too... cartoonish. not too "inhuman". I needed to convey the despair in a human wayOriginally Posted by dustin wallace
but normally I don't want to draw people the way they look. I've always been more of a fan of people's subconcious interpretations of how people should look. I like drawing from memory and I focus on shapes. But, sometimes a project calls for more realism. I'd like to think I can pull it off.
um..you have a unique genius style. I can find no flaws.
Not so much a critique as it is a question....
Have you considered having more background elements in your designs? Like in your "The Good Life" poster... there's more figure and ground happening there.
uh, kind of hard to just jump in and pick something to critique considering your posters are pretty solid. The "Acid Mothers Temple" poster is still one of my favorites.
Working with colours you don't normally use is a fun way to spice things up... especially colours that don't necessarily work together initially.
