    Default silly help needed

    hello there!

what can I do to find out the IP of a machine which is not connected to internet? I already tryed the commands: "arp -a" and " ipconfig" none of them provided me a useful number. =(
I need such thing to fix my home ethernet. I was attacked by a trojan and it changed my configurations.

so if you know how to find out the IP, please let me know here or email me annacas@gmail.com

yeah yeah i know i might be a silly question.. but i really donno how to do that. =(
    thank you all

    right click my network
    click properties
    right click local area connection
    hit properties
left click internet protocol so it's highlighted blue.
hit properties under and right of your blue highlight
under the general tab if you have an IP you will see IP address
    and there it is.

Usually the IP is assigned from a pool of addresses when connection is made..If the machine is not connected to the Internet it won't show an IP under IPCONFIG..you may wanna check the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) properties to see if a "static" IP is assigned permanently to the machine..

IP numbers are assigned by the router as I recall (since 99.9% of all home routers are DHCP)
