this is sort of the effect that happens. Instead of getting the reflection of a lamp or light fixture, you get a hazy blob. It's sort of like looking at the moon through a light, hazy cloud cover. You end up with a halo effect.

I will still buy from American Frame too. I just dont think Ill "upgrade" the price to get anti glare over regular plexi next time. (red flamed Neurosis is next, then late fall Andrew bird) I'm totally satisfied with the frame, the price everything. It was so "over packed" It came in a 40X80 inch box. I had it delivered to work and couldnt fit the box into my car.

I just checked it out on the site and the gold looks very... gold. Is the red/gold of your frame because of the reflexion of the paper? Anyway, it looks really good. I love American Frame.

It is very deceptive on the site. In person, the gold paint looks to be brushed over a reddish undercoat and yes, it is very red, almost more bronze-like. The red undercoat also looks to be an almost exact match to the shade of red on the paper. I was planning on the gold boundary complementing the gold metallic on the print but it wound up complementing the paper color better instead. I think it came out pretty sweet too.
