Just watched POPaganda: The Art & Crimes of Ron English. Pretty good. I wasn't aware of alot of his work, definitely worth a watch but be ready for some really bad music being played throughout.

Watched The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till last night. Crazy, extremely sad story. His mom is amazing in this doc. Highly recommend.

Just saw Food Inc., everyone should see it, to know where your food comes from. To go along with that, read "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell. That oughta straighten out anyone's hems on what they should/shouldn't eat.

Watched When the Levees Broke last night. Amazing - so much stuff I had no idea about. Pretty heartbreaking.

Watched Herb & Dorothy over the weekend. About a couple in NYC that worked jobs as post office clerk and a librarian. They started collecting minimalist art and amassed a collection that was huge and $$$$$$$$ the ending surprised the shit out of me. If you are into fine art, or collecting art I'd highly recommend it.

yeah, they're apartment was full of stuff. the curator from the smithsonian was great, describing the horror of walking into their apartment for the first time and seeing everything all stacked in piles next to these huge fish and turtle tanks. i'm assuming that all the stuff they showed in the apartment in the interviews for the documentary was from collecting art after they donated their original collection. looks like they've got another huge collection going. anyways, i saw some of the collection at the columbia museum a few weeks back. some of it was really interesting. some of it i just don't get (i.e. a few watercolor streaks on a sheet of loose leaf paper).

I don't get the stuff they collected either, but it just shows that there's something for everyone when it comes to "art".
