When you get Dark Days, make sure to watch the Updates in the extras, it's pretty cool what happened to the one guy.

Good documentary.

Crumb is great, Some Kind of Monster is a total pisser but my favourite documentary by FAR is...

The Devil and Daniel Johnston

it's really sad but it's also really quite moving and really hilarious in parts.

Hearing Daniel call the Mountain Dew HQ from a mental institution to sing them a song he's thought up for their new advert which just ends up with him screaming "DEMONS!!! DEMONS!!" is completely amazing.

Or the scene with Sonic Youth driving round the streets of NY looking for him.

Or Gibby Haines being interviewed in the dentist's chair about Daniel taking LSD and going nuts.

All priceless.

Best documentary ever. End of thread.

I just remembered this documentary, I saw it a bunch as a kid... it is called Devil At Your Heels... it is about Canadian stunt car driver Ken Carter who decides he is going to jump a rocket powered Lincoln Mark IV across the St. Lawrence Seaway... it is gold baby, GOLD!!!!

A rocket powered Lincoln Mark IV... it's amazing, the most un-aerodynamic car... it is truly a thing of beauty...

http://www.brainsonfilm.com/devheel.html

For us Canadians it is easily available at the NFB...
