Watched SURFWISE last night. I was thinking "Why does everyone think this father is crazy, he's making sense to me." in the beginning, then the kids started talking about the parents having loud sex every night in the small camper. UGH. and the beatings...I'd be scarred too. The daughter is hawt.!!!!!!

Dutch television makers redo the trip Darwin did... Beagle: In het kielzog van Darwin
it's partly in Dutch, but super interesting. They're on an amazing boat, with a built in tv-studio, massive amount of scientists, artist, ancestors of Darwin and loads more. It's absolutely the best tv-docu-series i've seen in years.

The Real Dirt on Farmer John. - pretty interesting account of an Illinois farmer who had an open mind... let hippies and artists on his farm in the 60's/70's, got demonized locally, lost part of his farm and then reinvented the farm... a real interesting odd duck.

fell asleep a half hour into Wisconsin Death Trip last night...seems awesome. not really a documentary per se...just a bunch of newspaper stories from Black River Falls, WI in the 1890s when most of the town died or went nutso.

watched "comedians of comedy" last night. pretty funny stuff...the on the road talking to each other/telling stories parts were way better than the onstage comedy.

Just watched it last week. It was alright, kind of directionless but I think that was the point. Kind of a core sample I guess?
