    Not only is it a hideous paddle out, the water is frigid.
    I grew up So Cal and surfed all over, but was never confident ( or crazy) enough to try Maverics. Isn't that where Mark Foo died? Was that in the film? Been a while.

    I have been netflix streaming all the Michael Woods 'in search of' ( troy, alexander the great. myths) docus and they are really great.

    Just watched Billy Bragg and Wilco: Man in the Sand (2001) on netflix. Wasn't great, wasnt terrible.

    yeah, that was in there. can't remember if they actually showed him going under, but they definitely had footage of that day.

    I finally watched Who Killed The Electric Car? tonight.

    In the early 80s, my grandfather was president of the electric car club at NASA. I road in his electric cars a lot as a kid.

    see I love that one. but I also really really love those albums, so it was great to see all the behind the scenes stuff

    i saw children underground the other day! really good!utterly heartbreaking but completely fascinating at the same time! Children Underground (2001)

    documents 5 romanian street kids who sleep in a subway,addicted to sniffing paint and beg for money. hardcore stuff.

    I watched Religulous last night (Not with Ghris, or his wife). It was great, but after an hour I got tired of Maher basically talking down to people. But overall, I have to say it was a good watch.
