Watched BINGO (History of bingo and the people that play it). It's everything you hope for. Actually interesting, but it shines a light on the fact that people on welfare play in hopes of "making more money".

Also watched "METAL-a Headbangers Journey". Great documentary. Talks about all sub-genres of Metal from Early metal, Glam metal, black metal. He interviews Mayhem and those dudes were fucking crazy, I think he was disappointed because he was a fan. Ronnie James Dio talks the most sense from all the musicians, good interviews throughout. Highly recommend.

Also, I saw the movie Man On Wire (about Phillipe Petit, the man who tight rope walked between the World Trade Towers) the other night. It was really good.

i caught a great documentary on PBS last night about the FSA photographers in the 1930's and 40's that went around the US documenting america and americans. it was only an hour long, so they didn't get too in depth, but it was pretty amazing the variety of photos they took. i think by the time the program was shut down, there were something like 160,000 photos in the collection.

Watched "BRA BOYS" last night. About a notorious surf gang The Bra Boys (some pro surfers considered the best in the world) in Australia. One up on charges of murdering a man who was threatening to rape a girl. Good doc. Highly recommend for the surf footage alone, also some great street fight scenes. The scene where they surf a wave known as Cyclops is insane. It produced massive waves that look like it would crush you if you looked at it wrong.

Punishment Park. A mocumentary from 1971 about two group of protesters who are arrested by the government and put to trial in the desert where they get to chose if they spend years in jail or try their luck for three days in Punishment park. The "park" is a 54 mile stretch of desert where the people will have to cross and reach an american flag and try to avoid capture by armed police and soldiers itching to take them down.
A surprisingly relevant film even today and so strong that I had to remind myself over and over that it wasn't real.
