I just saw "This Film Is Not Yet Rated" ... pretty interesting. I had no idea how secret the MPAA is about ratings.

Watched "In the Shadows of Motown" last week. I didn't like it at all. If the Funk Brothers were that huge of a part of Motown, why wouldn't they have music of their own on the charts or start their own bands (maybe they did, but why didn't they get huge on their own?)? I also don't understand why they had Joan Osbourne as a guest singer? The stories they had were a little weak for being that deep in the scene. Sounded like a pity party the whole way through. Just my opinion.

I watched The Devil's Miner this weekend... crazy stuff. Really nice cinematography. Worth the watch for sure.

Thanks to everyone who recommended "War Photographer".

I thought it was great on two fronts. 1. Being a photographer on war grounds. 2. How much we take our "easy" lives for granted.

They mostly show war footage, but also show poverty, poor working conditions, and famine. Kosovo, Jakarta, Rwanda, etc. It definitely puts things in perspective on how things we think are a "pain in the ass" don't come close to what alot of the world has to deal with.

My only complaint was the art show, they should have left that on the cutting room floor.

Saw a pretty cool six part series from the BBC called "The Nazis- A Lesson from History"....Learned more about Poland than I thought I knew.....also, the citizens of Wurzburg snitched each other out to the Gestapo, a lot....

...and it had colour footage of Stukas in action, so 8.5 out of 10.

Then I watched a doc on German jet fighters with some really crappy cgi....no stars, at all.....

Just finished watching.. that film angered me. How does an organization like
that exist? It is absolutely ridiculous. I don't even know where to start.
America.. well... western culture, which in most cases IS America is completely
backwards when it comes to certain things. Wow.

Tried watching "Half Japanese, the band that would rule the world" Wednesday. Couldn't make it through, it's garbage. Only made it about 40 minutes in and that was 35 minutes too long.
