One of my all-time favorite films. It documents this insane tap dancer in the appallations. Dude has ridiculous skill, but also disassociative personality disorder and sociopathic streak. He's also addicted to huffing glue. I recommend it highly.

I had an old bootleg copy of this on VHS that was quickly stolen in college.

Jesse the Outlaw Dancer is an amazingly complex man.

That scene where the family goes mudriding and almost wipe out the journalists is great.

Nuit et brouillard - (Night and Fog) Unflinching French documentary about the Holocaust. Amazing and really hard to watch. Some of the footage was supposedly used in Hitchcock's unfinished Holocaust documentary "Memory of the Camps."

The Thin Blue Line - I still find it amazing that a film could lead to an innocent man getting out of jail.

Roger & Me

Hoop Dreams

American Movie

I dunno. I have the Thoth disc but I've yet to watch it. It would be a good bet that I may die before popping it in over one of the million spaghetti westerns I own but have yet to watch.

the Dancing Outlaw. LOL.

jesus christ..a few years ago me and the Vice people spent a weekend filming this guy in Manhattan for a movie we where going to make about his weird 'memoirs'. The guy was basically a total fucking retard and his weird sister/girlfriend/manager was totally fucking insane..in a not good way.

they plowed through about 2 grand worth of coke in a day and half, got kicked out of the hotel because he started in on beating her and they guy never danced once acause his 'daddy's special shoes' where fucked up (like the taps came off) and he didnt trust anyone to fix them.

he did have great hair tho.

Are you serious? Jesus, I didn't think there'd be anyway he was still alive. I saw the video over ten years ago.

Whatever happened to the footage?
